Amteck is a commercial electrical contractor with headquarters in Lexington, KY, Dyersburg, TN, Louisville, KY & Greenville SC. This employer has contracts all over the nation, in particular Eastern US. In our effort to address the shortage of trained/certified electricians, we are offering assistance for some WIOA eligible individuals who wish to take advantage of this opportunity. Those who successfully complete the two week training program could result in an immediate hire with Amteck, earning a staring wage of $12. per hour with the potential of earning as much as $70,000. per year. Once certified the possibilities are endless.
Qualifications are as follows:
- Drug Free (Test Required) However, this is a 2nd chance employer and will work with those who have had issues in the past.

- Willing to Travel (Company Paid Expenses) – All jobs and opportunities with Amteck are travel jobs.
An orientation for a Free Electrical Pre-Apprenticeship Training will be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2017 at 10 am at the KY Career Center Jobsight, 412 Roy Campbell Drive, Hazard, KY. The training will begin in Lexington beginning shortly after the orientation day and will last for two weeks. EKCEP will incur expenses for those that are WIOA eligible to attend the 2 week training time frame. The orientation is open for anyone who is interested in obtaining this certification and going to work for Amteck, not just those that are WIOA eligible. A more local training setting could happen if we have enough interest and participation. More details will follow on this.
